THE INSPIRING SOUND OF EALING WIND ORCHESTRA

Welcome to our page! We are a new wind orchestra in the Ealing area. 

 

We plan to meet for our first rehearsal on Wednesday 4th October 2023 at 7pm, at the University of West London (UWL). Along with the London College of Music, UWL has provided a venue for the group to meet and the use of percussion instruments. This support will continue with a rehearsal space being provided at UWL.

We look to welcome locals who want to come and play. The idea is that it is a community venture for adults but under 18s are welcome to come along if they bring a responsible adult with them.

 

The music that the orchestra will play will be a mix of film music, arrangements from musicals, as well as classic wind band music from all over the world, a lot of which uses folksong as a starting point.

We are particularly keen to encourage people from traditionally underrepresented groups to join and write music for the orchestra to perform.
